How do I get a quote for an engine rebuild?

For engine rebuilding, we may request photos or a diagnostic report to provide an accurate fixed quote. All quotes are free and carry no obligation.

What information do you need to provide a quote?

Ideally: vehicle registration number, engine code (found on your V5C or under-bonnet plate), mileage, and a clear description of symptoms or the specific service needed. For timing chain or diagnostic enquiries, any fault codes or previous garage reports are extremely helpful. The more detail you provide upfront, the faster and more accurately we can quote.

Do you offer collection and delivery?

Yes. We arrange enclosed or flatbed recovery from anywhere in mainland UK. Free collection and return on repairs over £500. For lower-value jobs or non-running vehicles, transport is quoted separately. You do not need to visit our Billericay workshop unless you prefer to — we handle all logistics.

How quickly will you respond to my enquiry?

We respond to all enquiries within 2 hours during business hours (Mon–Fri 9am–6pm, Sat 11am–2pm). Enquiries received outside these hours are responded to first thing the next working day. Urgent matters are best handled by phone or WhatsApp for immediate attention.

Can I visit the workshop before booking work?

Yes, and we encourage it for complex jobs like engine rebuilds. Please call ahead to arrange an appointment so we can dedicate time to show you the facility, discuss your vehicle, and answer questions properly. Drop-ins without appointment may result in waiting or being unable to speak with a specialist immediately.

Is my personal data kept secure?

Absolutely. We retain personal data for a maximum of 6 months after last contact unless you become a customer (in which case data is retained per legal and warranty obligations). Do you charge for diagnostics?

Our diagnostic service carries a fixed fee (£99–£149 depending on complexity), which is deducted from the repair cost if you proceed with us. This covers diagnostic scan time, live data analysis, physical inspection, and a written report. We do not offer free diagnostics as proper diagnosis requires dedicated technician time and specialist equipment.
