ABOUT THE MERCEDES SLS AMG BLACK ENGINE
The SLS AMG Black Series uses the M159 — a 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 that was the most powerful iteration of the M156/M159 engine family when it launched. It was fitted throughout the C197 generation from 2010 to 2014, across every combustion SLS AMG variant including the standard car, the GT, and the Black Series. The SLS AMG is no longer in production, but we continue to rebuild and replace engines for every one still on the road.
