If your Vito 110/111 CDI is a W639 generation model with the OM646 engine — that's roughly 2006 to 2014 — timing chain wear and injector seal leaks are well-documented patterns on this engine. We replace the timing chain, tensioners, injector seals and gaskets as standard on every OM646 rebuild.
The earlier W638 generation uses the OM601 or OM611 engine families, which don't share this specific issue pattern — they're older, different designs with their own service requirements.

The Vito 110/111 CDI has been part of the Vito range since the late 1990s, and across its two generations has used three different engines — from the OM601 through to the OM646. The W638 generation (roughly 1996 to 2003) used the OM601 in various tune levels, while the W639 generation started with the OM611 (2003–2006) before switching to the OM646 in the facelift (2006–2014).
